Study-related clinic visits, procedures, laboratory tests, and study treatment are provided at no cost to participants.
Participation is not required and is voluntary. If enrolled, you can choose to end your/your child’s participation at any time for any reason or without giving a reason.
Participating in the study will help researchers learn more about SAB-142 and its impact on T1D. However, it’s important to remember that, as with any treatment, you can never be sure of the outcome. Your/your child’s health may improve, it may stay the same, or it may get worse.
Please ask the clinical study staff any questions about the study and your/your child’s treatment options. We encourage you/your child to review the Informed Consent Form/Assent Form with your medical team and family to help decide if the SAFEGUARD study might be right for you/your child.
You/your child will continue your doctor-prescribed T1D-related therapies for the duration of the study. This includes standard insulin therapy. This will be reviewed with you by the study team/doctor
